Today, at International Anticorruption Day member of Public Monitoring Committee of Sverdlovsk region-Vyacheslav Bashkov had a meeting with the Chief of Federal Service for Execution of punishment of Sverdlovsk region — S.V. Hudorozhkov. Conversation was about necessity of installation of telecommunications network in penitentiaries’ squads. Human rights defender put forward arguments that it will result in cutting off corruption crimes and convicts will have legal phone network . Thus there would be no need in payments for prison officers to be in touch with family.
General Hudorozhkov agreed that it will work out. They came to agreement with all points. They decided to put phone number of Internal Security Directorate of Federal Service for Execution of punishment. The conversation has taken 25 minutes.
