Chelyabinsk activists present the report: «Slave labor of convicts in Russia»

On September 10^th, 2014 there was press conference with participation of human rights defenders from the Ural democratic fund, public movement «Women of Eurasia» and Public Monitoring Committee of Chelyabinsk region.

There human rights defenders presented their report called «Slave labor of convicts in modern Russia».

Report was made as a part of the project of the Ural democratic fund «Monitoring of human rights’ violations connected with labor in the penitentiary system of Chelyabinsk region».

Research were being carried out for 2010-2014 years by participants of the Ural democratic fund — members of Chelyabinsk Public Monitoring Committee. In that research there are reasons and examples of slave labor and ways to change it.

Participants hope that state bodies authorities will pay attention to convicts and activists of Russia.

Report was made as a part of the project of the Ural democratic fund «Monitoring of human rights’ violations connected with labor in the penitentiary system of Chelyabinsk region.
