On 14 May 2015 at the special facility for temporary accommodation of foreign citizens there were mass riots.
In the evening members of Public Monitoring Committee: Larisa Zakharova, Svetlana Malyugina, Director of Association «Legal Basis» Aleksey Sokolov and attorney Roman Kachanov.
Gates were locked. Representative of the facility refused to talk to human rights defenders. Next to the facility there were officers from the Federal Bailiff Service who just brought arrested people but they could not leave arrested due to mass riots inside.
Defenders were forced to speak go people from the facility through the fence.
According to them, the reason for riots was beatings by officers and absence of dinner. Administration doesn’t send out complains.
As arrested told defenders, drunk warden came up to them and said that all the people who have complaints would be beaten.
Member of Public Monitoring Committee Larisa Zakharova said that people are close to despair. Svetlana Malyugina and others were not admitted inside. Representative from Prosecutor’s office visited the facility and took a complaint from a migrant, handed to warden of the facility and asked to send it to Prosecutor’s office.
That was not the first case when people show discontent about living conditions.
Members of Public Committee and human rights organizations think that warden of the facility is the guilty one because he had made some prison rules in there.
