Ural human rights organization «Legal Basis» which Prosecutor office of Yekaterinburg tries to mark as «foreign agent» is all into trials. As Director Aleksey Sokolov told, today in court motion has been studied which demands to call off decision of Prosecutor office.
«Representative of prosecutor office said that our work is aimed to change state policy through challenging unlawful actions of authorities.
Next court hearing is scheduled on 23 July.
At the same time trial on claim from Ministry of Justice which demands to declare «Legal Basis» to be «foreign agent». The first hearing took place on 8 July; next is on 22 July.
In April 2013 after law concerning «foreign agents» came into force, «Legal Basis» faced a lot of inspections. First inspection didn’t find violations, but in 2014 inspections got back. Also organization was through inspection by Ministry of Justice. No violations found.
Last request was from Prosecutor office of the Kirov district. Its officers noticed traces of «foreign agent».
